An early morning fire swept through Yankton’s Colonial Inn Motel Tuesday, causing severe damage to the business and placing more stress on the city’s capacity for visitors.
You may be reading this before going to State Fire School, if you are lucky enough to get it a little early, or while fire school is going on, or maybe even after fire school.
March roared in like a lion with temperature of minus 9 degrees on Sunday, March 1st and I hope by the time you read this that spring has shown its face.

I was recently contacted by a family who was going through some mementos of their late grandfather when they came across a ribbon from the 1939 Minnesota State Firemen’s Association Convention.
