Hill City structure fire

On June 29, Hill City Volunteer Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 12000 block Old Hill City Rd, unincorporated Pennington County South Dakota. First arriving volunteer firefighters discovered a free burning fire in a detached garage, extending into the roof assembly. Rapid attack by volunteer firefighters contained the fire to the structure of origin, stopping the spread of the flames to nearby structures, infrastructure and other improvements, holding the fire to a single alarm.
