Thank you to host Iowa Falls
I would like to start off by extending a huge thank you to the Iowa Falls Fire Department for hosting another successful convention. I know I’m not the only one on the board that will say this. I have no doubt that the IFA will have many questions for next year’s convention.
Since our last meeting I was able to help out with the Iowa State fair booth setup and teardown. I know I say this every year but I would like to extend a thank you to all that help make this event a success. Having the same group of people every year for the process makes the setup and teardown much easier and more efficient.
I was also able to attend a convention meeting at the Iowa Falls fire station Wednesday of convention. We discussed many great ideas and I know that our committee has a great plan in place. More plans and ideas will be presented as we have been.
I next would like to extend a huge thank you to Past President Chuck Raska for dedication to the IFA. The level of knowledge you have will definitely be a great resource for the years to come. Your presence on the board will be missed. I look forward to continuing to working with you for years to come. President Carr, what can I say, I even learned some stuff from you. All joking aside, a true congratulations on a well ran year. Look forward to working with you over the next year.
Joining the IFA board has definitely been humbling but at the same time challenging for me. I’m excited for the year ahead. I promise to devote as much time as I can to make this year successful. I know there will be challenges ahead, but we will get through them. I know that I have an amazing department behind me. My department has always been super supportive of my time on the board. I know they are ready to help with anything that I may need.
Lastly, I would like to remind everyone that my Mid Year is scheduled for March 27-30, 2025. It will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn Cedar Falls.
Respectfully,
Aaron Clemons,
IFA President
