Mid Year is coming up April 21–22 at the Marriott in Coralville. Forest City will be opening up for business at noon on Friday to take registrations for convention, camping spots, etc.
On Feb. 18, members of the Stanton Volunteer Fire Department responded to a garage fire in Stanton. Upon arrival the garage was fully involved.

Around 7 pm on Monday, Mar. 6, Mulvane PD received an urgent “teletype” to all Law Enforcement Agencies in Kansas from the Sheriff of Comanche, KS.
Jamie Curtis, age 23, the Fire Chief of Weir, KS died on Jan. 13th of a sudden illness. He is survived by his wife and two small children.
