      With what seems to be a change in weather patterns we have seen an increase in flooding in our area. I certainly have no intentions of weighing in on the climate change argument. I do see this as a potential increase in opportunities for us to be needed for water events.

     It will soon be vacation time.  After the last day of school, many of your families will be traveling to various locations for some much needed rest and fun.

     The Avon Fire Department and the Avon Ambulance were dispatched to a report of smoke coming from the roof of the Power’s Furniture and Appliance store on Main Street in Avon, at 7:23 p.m. on March 26.

     Nick Nisius has been an honorary member of the Janesville Fire Department since May of 2017. Nick is 26 and has Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy.

Fallen Hero’s

     With the recent loss of one of our brothers in the line of duty I want to spend some time reflecting rather than writing my normal training drill this month.
